Welcome to SONDER Coffee

Where do I begin to explain what has unraveled before my eyes this past year? I’m not even going to start! From day one of daring to dream of a coffee shop, to traveling to Northern Europe for inspiration, getting my first barista job, taking a summer to write a business plan, then finding an actual location and seeing our vision develop, especially throughout the crazy build out process… here we are! These steps, little by little and a day at a time, impossible and crazy in their own ways, were a necessary part of today’s story. And even so, this is just the beginning of SONDER Coffee.

Welcome to SONDER Coffee & Tea, a craft and community coffee shop in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. Thanks so much for following our story thus far here on Dream|a|Latte. And I’m pleased to say, the adventure continues! After all, there are so many more unknowns that await us!

“… a story rooted, timely growing… a story fragile, ever changing…

And we at SONDER Coffee & Tea, is where those stories cross; an ordinary community shop where these two realities play out behind the scenes in people’s lives. We’re a point in time where stories are unraveled and lives can be shared, to be a place to belong through a seemingly simple crossroads: a cup of coffee. “

  1. Beautiful shop! Congratulations! I have similar dreams, and it is true, there is not one place that walks you through it. Especially visually, as well as on paper. So happy to have come across your blog. Fear is holding me back. Not money, or time, or the other big obstacles. Just fear. Maybe I will turn that around in 2017 🙂

Well thank you and thanks for reading! Yes, fear is a constant obstacle to overcome, and I’m constantly working through that too! I find it helps to address it on both an emotional/spiritual/mental level (see post: defeating fear and daring to dream), and physically as we step forward to disarm it by minimizing the risk associated with it (see post: risk management). Hope you turn it around this year too! =D Keep me updated with your progress!
