We’re so close… thanks to all of you for bearing with me on our build out posts, because there’s nothing else my brain can handle to post about. Every day is building something, cleaning, ordering, managing, planning, installing, prepping– something and the work never stops! We’re hoping to open within a couple weeks, and things have taken longer than expected with contractors and keeping on schedule, but there’s still always something to do in the meantime.
SONDER Build Out Week 9
Fabric swatches– seeing what colors look best for our couches/chairs. I love the greens and greys! We’ve chosen on a couch for now, but I forgot to take a pic. Guess you’ll have to wait and see…
Alex Odnoralov finished our SONDER accent wall– he did an amazing job. Talented, creative, precise, it’s hard not to love everything he does! More pictures to follow, as I’d love to do a post just on the process of the wall.
Remember the community table Ernest made back last year? Well it’s finally time we brought in into it’s new home! Looks pretty good up against the SONDER wall…
I think building and making things is therapeutic for Ernest. With all the crazy going on it seems he enjoyed taking some time to make little espresso trays out of walnut, and they turned out pretty nice. Other non-glamourous things like working on the bar, paint detailing, plumbing, and cleaning didn’t make it onto here, and that’s ok.
We finished off the week hanging out with Lugano at Cherry Creek for their pool party! Not only did we find a lovely location for our shop, but it’s right at Lugano’s retail spots underneath their apartments. We’re so lucky to have found a warm and fun community to share coffee and such a huge part of our lives with, and we’re really excited for what’s to come together!
We’re on track to open in September. If all goes as planned with inspections and licenses, we’ll be planning on having our grand opening at the end of the month. Wish us luck!
