Between it being our first couple months and the holiday craze, I haven’t had much time to sit down and process owning a coffee shop. We’ve been settling into a consistent rhythm, learning more about coffee, meeting our community, and also thinking about our future plans as a shop– already! I was almost too overwhelmed with it all to decorate for the holidays, but my friend Deb from Home Spice gave me a hand! We were going for a minimal decor, focused on the simple and lovely elements of nature like real greenery and pinecones, and of course a little glimmer of light. Enjoy some pictures from our first years’ Christmastime at SONDER!
Merry | Bright
Our house-made seasonals were a little different from the norm, but again inspired by the simplicity to pair together complementary herbs and spices. And we like being different! The lineup included a Pear-Ginger, Orange-Spice, and Brown Sugar-Rosemary latte, made with real fruit and herbs and spices. We also had cold holiday drinks: a Holiday Ginger Beer Mocktail, a classic New-York inspired Chocolate Egg Cream and an iced Root Beer Latte. Lulu Bakery joined us this season to make some in-house treats like sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies and delicious macarons! Thankful to have such a talented and passionate team here.
Christmas | Time
We’re thankful to have made it to our first Christmas here at SONDER. Can’t wait to see what 2017 will bring!
